Study the book. Write the proof.

Professor Euler is a free, non-commercial mathematics app for serious self-study, from high school through university. The textbook stays on the page. You write the work. When you ask, your own AI provider reads the work you choose to send.

Read

Fifty textbooks and course resources, in English and German, from algebra and calculus through analysis, probability, and the mathematics of machine learning. Reading works offline.

Write

A large Android tablet and a stylus are the intended desk. Keep the printed page in view and develop a calculation, a proof, or a diagram in your own handwriting.

Check

AI grading looks at the handwritten solution you submit. It can miss a step, and it is not a formal mark. You bring your own provider key. Charges and eligibility are the provider’s.

Six study paths

The curriculum is a set of books the app can legally share. You study the authors’ text. The app does not replace those licenses.

Algebra through precalculus

Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and precalculus.

Proof and linear algebra

Calculus, linear algebra, proofs, discrete mathematics, number theory, and abstract algebra.

Analysis

Real and complex analysis, topology, measure and integration, and functional analysis.

Equations and computation

Ordinary and partial differential equations, numerical methods, and optimization.

Probability

Probability, statistics, statistical inference, and stochastic processes.

Learning machines

The mathematics of machine learning and deep learning.

Among the books: OpenStax Calculus, Richard Hammack’s Book of Proof, Sheldon Axler’s Linear Algebra Done Right and Measure, Integration & Real Analysis, and Simon J. D. Prince’s Understanding Deep Learning. My books is separate: you import your own PDFs, and those files stay yours to supply.

No Professor Euler account

Profiles live on the device. There is no subscription and no advertising. Optional AI uses Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, or DeepInfra with a key you provide.

Google sign-in is optional and off until you turn on sync for a profile. It reaches only a hidden folder in your own Google Drive, plus the email address of that account, so another device can open the same study files. The built-in textbooks are not uploaded. API keys stay on the device. The privacy policy is the full account of this, and the same text is published at github.com/dawei7/professor-euler-privacy.

The same study on Windows

Professor Euler for Windows is the same workspace. The fifty books are inside the installer. Double-click it, open the app from the Start menu, and the library is already there. You can write with a mouse or a pen. A large Android tablet and a stylus remain the most comfortable desk for handwriting.

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The download is about a gigabyte because the books are included. No account is required to study. Sign in to the same Google account only if you want a profile to meet the tablet. When a newer version is published on this page, the app says so. It downloads the installer only after you press Update, and it checks the file before opening it. The installer is not signed with a paid certificate, so Windows may show a warning. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

Made in Switzerland

David Schmid built Professor Euler for the way he wants to study: keep the depth, and make the desk comfortable. The tutoring voice in the app is a fictional tribute to Leonhard Euler, not the historical man.

A 10-inch or larger Android tablet is recommended. The offline library needs several gigabytes. Questions: ai.professor.euler@gmail.com.
